The ongoing ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic have undeniably created unforeseen obstacles in all of our personal and professional lives. From caring for sick loved ones, disruptions in our children’s schools, to empty grocery store shelves, we are all collectively persevering during these truly tumultuous times.

At Garlic Expressions, especially as a small, family-owned business, we are not immune to the global upheaval. Just recently, our glass bottle supplier of nearly 30 years, without warning, informed us they will no longer supply the iconic, green glass bottle.

We immediately pivoted to alternative domestic glass suppliers, however, we were unable to secure any supply. As a very small business, we had limited options. Large companies who procure massive volumes of glass have impeded smaller companies like ours from obtaining adequate supply.

Our choice was clear: alter the packaging or shut down our business. Although these uncontrollable forces required our new plastic packaging, we were extremely selective of our new supplier. Just as before, our PET bottle is 100% recyclable and can be placed into your typical household recycling bin for pickup by your municipality. Our bottle is then recycled into tote bags, furniture, carpet, paneling, fiber, and more! We have also conducted numerous taste tests, and the zesty flavor profile will not change with the packaging switch.
